Is adding some "greens" breaking my rule of being minimalistic and monochromatic?
I have started obtaining a few indoor plants in the pots. I wasn't a big fan of growing anything, pets or plants, but after having open house to sell our house, I missed having flowers around. But having flowers was costly and required a lot more work than I wanted to involve. So I looked into having some potted plants.
To my surprise, these plants are doing OK, and they provide some soft feels to the rest of my "dry" elements. Even one of the plants was severely damaged during the delivery, but it managed to survive in a few weeks, and started to grow a few more new leaves. I got very encouraged. So I decided to have a few more around the house.
But finding the plants that I like has been a bit of challenge. I could be a little picky, but I am after certain looks from the plants, and I am not having much luck to find enough numbers of plants that I like.
So I added a green piece of art to my "greens". I had a new beautiful square white frame sitting and waiting to be used, and this was a perfect occasion to put it to use. An empty frame is quite inspiring, isn't it?
